Cool, which one do you recommend for novice/intermed?

I'm surprised by the templates because they have far less volume than what Mike Israetel recommends (10-20 sets per week).

The other confusing thing is that you can't go past 10 reps because all the sets are based off a percentage of the 10RM.Obviously, you're supposed to train calves and rear delts with more than 10 reps. Not sure how that works. Do you know?

The weight is selected based on 10rm, but the amount of reps is based on RPE/What you have left in the tank.
From the FAQ-
Mesocycle 1: 6 reps or less is too few, 20 reps or more is too many
Mesocycle 2: 10 reps or less is too few, 30 reps or more is too many
Mesocycle 3: 3 reps or less is too few, 12 reps or more is too many

You are missunderstanding some basic concepts here...

10rm means a weight you can do 10 reps with. Percentage off 10rm means the weight gets lighter and you do more reps...

If your 10rm is 100 Kg (10 reps for 100Kg) and Israetel recommends 85% on that in meso 1 you are training with 85 Kg. So you are doing more than 10 reps...

Also why are you asking these questions? Just fill in the templates with your numbers... the excel does the calculation for you

what? Dude I did the templates, they have MORE than enough sets, and I was doing 20-30 rep sets in some of them during the metabolite phase. You dont understand how the sheets work. Also if the sets are too easy the auto regulation you use will increase the amount of sets you do automatically.
