So, I'm wondering how slow is too slow when it comes to repetitions. I know there's a lot of controversy on the subject, but I also know that everyone has hes position about it and I want to know about others experiences and ideas because I really am lost on this.
I do calisthenics, and am following convict conditioning (not very strictly but close enough) and I take like 3 seconds per repetition (obviously depending on the exercise, for instance I use like 4 or 5 in my leg raises or bridges and less in my squats and push-ups). I'm feeling like I'm not doing a lot of progression lately, but I also had a big switch in my diet and don't know if this plateau is related to one thing or the other (or bought).
What I actually wanna know is which range of repetitions is the best for gaining strength and which for mass (if one can gain some mass with just cals...), according to number of reps per set and speed in seconds per rep. My goal is strength, but a little muscle wouldn't hurt.

Pic unrelated, I don't even lift pillows.
