Think about the actual situations you want to be able to defend yourself in: outside, possibly multiple attackers, uncontrolled environment
Grappling/submissions would give you good control over a single attacker, but choking a guy out doesn't help when his two friends are kicking you in the head.
Strikes just takes too fucking long unless you get a lucky hit in (yes, lucky. you cannot guarantee a knockout against a cokehead).
I have not seen Krav Maga teach good principles of actual body management.
My recommendation would be judo. No finishers, doesn't fucking matter. You're standing on concrete or asphalt for fucks sake. BAM. If he gets back up, fucking throw him again if you haven't run away by then.
