This is going to sound idiotic, but what exactly is a 'healthy' sex drive? I recently had a complete physical/blood test. With the follow-up, the doctor was asking me about how active my libido is.
I grew up in a household that demonized sex, and though I never drank the kool-aid, it wasn't until the doctor asked that when I realized that I don't really have much of a sex drive. I figured it was more the fact that I hit 27 last March and I'm not overflowing with raging hormones, but according to the doctor, I should have desires to have sex more than once every couple of months at my age.
However, I have absolutely no frame of reference of what should be considered a healthy libido. The doctor couldn't really describe it to me, other than medical terms (certain hormones were lower than average, etc.) However, I've really grown to prefer not masturbating every day.
So my question is, what is considered 'healthy' and is it really that big of deal to have one?
