Are there any tips/risks of getting fit using bikes alone? Many people claim they can't keep up on exercise because they don't enjoy it but for me, biking is a great way to get in shape and more play than work.
Current weight- 200lbs
Target rate- 150lbs or less
Height- 5' 7"
Age- 22
In high school I got down to my target weight because in my state daily PE is a requirement, and I'd been elected to join an advanced PE program my senior year. But I also biked at night in the countryside. Once I graduated my bike got totaled when a car hit it (someone else was riding it) and for the next 4 years I didn't ride. I just recently bought a new Fuji Absolute bike (pictured) and have been visiting old trails. I'd really like to get back into shape, and I'd prefer to do it while doing something I enjoy.
Any thoughts/tips?
