  • Man, you can do more than just 5/3/1 on that shit and get way better results.

Have you ever been to a krav maga class in the states? It's a fucking joke.

"ok, grab my arm here, no, not here, here, good, now watch this"

"Ok, now, stand right there, hold the gun up...hiya! see? now I have the gun"

  • So I swam for about 10 years til the end of high school. It's been three years since then, i've smoked probably 400+ packs of cigarettes since then.

Today, I decided to work out again. The workout was
    Warm Up:
    200 Swim
    100 Kick
    100 Pull
    Set
    10: 50's 10 seconds rest
    5: 100's 20 seconds rest
    1: 200 40 seconds rest
    10: 25's 5 seconds rest
    Cool Down
    100 Kick
    100 Pull
    200 Swim

Now, in high school, this workout would have been a BREEZE for me to do. I just started up again today and couldn't even finish. But my goal by the end of the month is to be back into at least enough shape to do a 2000+ yard workout without dying in the middle of it. Anyone else swim, here?

  • Yeah, I did for a couple years in high school but stopped when I move to another state.
    I still regret it.

I've stopped and started swimming quite a bit in these past few years (I just graduated). It's always depressing getting back in the pool after a long break to discover how out of shape and practice I am.

    Why did you stop swimming?

  • Between ottormode and built. I'm already about where I want to be, maybe jut a little closer to built would be nice since it might suit my body type more.

  • A bit of numbness is natural since as you hang/do pull ups, you're cutting off the blood flow to your fingers so they go numb.

The fact that you can't open your hand shows that you've really tired out the muscles in your hand to the point that they can't open and close properly, which is also normal as it's just the result of a good workout. My hands were the same way after my first time rock climbing.

  • I have been surfing on-line greater than three hours as of late, but I never found any interesting article like yours. Itˇs beautiful value enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you probably did, the web will likely be a lot more helpful than ever before.

I stopped because I graduated. I was going to swim in college, but i decided to smoke pot, fail, and drop out instead. So that's that. I haven't swam since Feb 16, 2011. So i'm way out of shape. But i'd like to get back to the shape I was in before. I miss swimming competitvely, but I don't really have a way to do that anymore.

Pic related, it was me after the warm-up

Nothing wrong with 5/3/1, but the boring but big assistance template is way too low volume for a hormonized lifter. Might I suggest the 5/3/1 offseason for strength program?

  • A bit beyond this pics version of otter mode atm.

The other otter mode pics I'v seen have been much closer to the "ripped" image, which I'd say is my long term goal- that or some form of bear mode.

there are good krav maga in israel.
in the u.s there are shitty dogos because they are too commercial and not pro instructors, there must be a good one somewhere.

also there is a difference between civilian krav maga and the military version.

any martial arts with full contact sparring is great.
