1. FAQ
2. More proteine. Count calories. Watch your macros instead of individual foods.
3. You are only doing cardio. Stop that.
4. Your "fitness" section is too long; your workout should be ~90 mins MAX, better ~60 mins
5. Training only "arms and shoulders" is dangerous because of muscular imbalance. Do a random full body split from the internets.

But in general, don't listen to me or others and stick to your schedule for the next 3 months. Even if it is not very good, it is much more important for you to get into a routine. Keep it up and while you do that, read on the side on how to do it properly.

Doin it is key, don't fuck it up by informing yourself too much. After 3 months, listen to people at your boxing gym.

This is not bad advice. More protein.
Also, write down all you do. Your entire routine, amounts of sets and reps, even the food you ate if you want. That way you can judge your progress in a more objective way.
If you're gonna box, read Convict Conditioning, The Naked Warrior, or something about calisthenics. They will give you strength and stamina, and you can do them at home to enforce your gym training.
Good luck!

Think about the actual situations you want to be able to defend yourself in: outside, possibly multiple attackers, uncontrolled environment

Grappling/submissions would give you good control over a single attacker, but choking a guy out doesn't help when his two friends are kicking you in the head.
Strikes just takes too fucking long unless you get a lucky hit in (yes, lucky. you cannot guarantee a knockout against a cokehead).
I have not seen Krav Maga teach good principles of actual body management.

My recommendation would be judo. No finishers, doesn't fucking matter. You're standing on concrete or asphalt for fucks sake. BAM. If he gets back up, fucking throw him again if you haven't run away by then.

>Can it actually help, or the advantage would be merely psychological?

I would just like to take a moment to address this strange phrasing. Do you believe that psychological change won't "actually" help. Except for the extremely occasional crazed, end-of-the-rope psychopath attacker, most proper criminals know in advance who they are gonna rob/rape/rumble with. They are excellent judges of body language. Practicing a martial art (or similar activity) increases your own awareness of your body and how it is jointed together. Most likely within the first year you can considerably improve your posture and the confidence with which you move. Even though this is all because of a psychological effect, it will help you in not getting into trouble in the first place.

Then again, maybe you've been lifting for years and have high self confidence and excellent posture, and this whole post has been a waste of everyone's time
