  • This is going to sound idiotic, but what exactly is a 'healthy' sex drive? I recently had a complete physical/blood test. With the follow-up, the doctor was asking me about how active my libido is.

    I grew up in a household that demonized sex, and though I never drank the kool-aid, it wasn't until the doctor asked that when I realized that I don't really have much of a sex drive. I figured it was more the fact that I hit 27 last March and I'm not overflowing with raging hormones, but according to the doctor, I should have desires to have sex more than once every couple of months at my age.

    However, I have absolutely no frame of reference of what should be considered a healthy libido. The doctor couldn't really describe it to me, other than medical terms (certain hormones were lower than average, etc.) However, I've really grown to prefer not masturbating every day.

    So my question is, what is considered 'healthy' and is it really that big of deal to have one?

  • Some time ago, a feget told me that the body can only make use of 40 grams of protein from one meal. Is this true at all? This would mean that if i ate a can of tuna and have a glass of milk, i would no longer be able to make use of any more protein. For some time at least.

    If this is true, then how on earth do serious lifters keep their protes on top bros? Keep in mind, some pro bros eat as much as 10.000 calories a day. Certainly they can't be hindered by a 40 gram limit per meal?

  • I couldn't tell you what the limit on protein is, but I do know that when you have a wound the body requires an additional 40g of protein per day for effective wound healing.
    I doubt that means eating an additional meal because I've never heard that recommended. Whoever told you that sounds like they got it wrong, but there may be a limit.

  • Total broscience. What counts as a meal and what stops me from having twenty of them to insure maximum gains?

    Eating too much protein can have the excess amounts turned into glycogen and eventually just be stored as fat if you're really up there.
